Quasimodo at St Pancras!

April 12, 2010

The intention at Low Sunday Mass should have been for bell ringers and train drivers.

The Introit begins “Quasimodo”, and it is impossible not to think of the Hunchback of Notre Dame. And the Stational Mass is at St Pancras; I know it is a Roman church, but in my mind’s eye I was transported to the most impressive railway station in London.

Now that’s what you call “distractions during Mass”!

I bet it’s the most beautiful Train Station in the world, right next to the Kings Crossing Tube Station
